Level 1 requirements

  1. 3 step basic hands technique: Fist, palm, hook
  2. Palm flash, head flash
  3. Fundamentals (no jumps). See list at bottom of page.
  4. 6 basic combinations
  5. Fitness: Horse stance 1 minute, 10 pushups, 10 squat jumps, 10 situps

 

 

 

Fundamentals:

  • Front rising kick
  • Side rising kick
  • Outside wheel kick ("inside to outside"), with & without slap.
  • Inside wheel kick ("outside to inside"), with and without slap.
  • Single slap/hook & palm- instep kick
  • Double slap instep kicks
  • Punch & instep kick
  • Palm & heel kick
  • Side thrust kick
  • Arc back
  • Overturn waist
  • Palm thrust ("threading palm")
  • Front sweep (level 1 may use hands for assistance)
  • Back sweep
