Quote of the month:

Ability is what you're capable of doing.

Motivation determines what you do,

Attitude determines how well you do it.

- Lou Holtz

Attitude, in the long run, makes or breaks your goals and aspirations. Without a good attitude, your motivation may wane and affect your overall ability.

** UPCOMING SPECIAL CLASSES  This year's annual "Summer Series" lineup:

"Drunken Fist":  July 9th to August 1st (2 days a week,Wednesdays and Fridays). By special request, Sifu DeJesus is offering a class that will teach a basic Drunken Fist form.  Other activities will include: Martial skills enhancement drills, focus mitt drills, and martial arts related games. The classes are two hours long. No experience in Kung fu, Wushu, or any martial art is required. Although this class is geared mainly toward kids & teenagers who are out of school for the summer, adults are welcome to attend if their schedule allows.

"Drunken fist" is a form of "imitative boxing", where student learns incredible balance, agile footwork and control in imitating the reeling motions of a "drunken warrior".  Jackie Chan made this form of Kung Fu popular in his movie series "Drunken Master". Contrary to the movie though, is the fact that NO alcohol is actually involved in learning this style!

Participants should wear comfortable workout clothing and shoes, bring a snack and water, and be prepared to have lots of fun!
